Trade Academy Building

The educational building was built in 1892 and it was built according to a design that came from the hand of the Hungarian architect . It was built for the Veliki Bečkerek Municipality and was in use by the State Boys' Civic School, the Trade Academy and State Men's Civic School, which is among the oldest trade academies in the country. The Trade Academy was founded as a three-class Higher Trade School in which the language of instruction was Hungarian. This lasted until the end of the when in April 1919, it was transformed into a Serbian school. In 1983, the building became the house of the High School of Electrical Engineering, which was founded in the same year. Since the establishment of the school, classes have been held in both Serbian and Hungarian languages.

Underneath the roof of the building, which is built in the styles of Eclectic and Neo-Renaissance, you can admire two different-sized strips of , one of which is adorned with foliage. On top of the hip roof of the part of the building, you'll be able to see . The wall paintings are beautifully decorated with zigzag and Greek key motifs, , and other floral ornamentation. The fragments that are located underneath the second floor windows are also embellished with festoons. The cornice that separates the first and second floor also features a strip of dentils underneath it.
