Public Health Center Building

The residential and governmental building was built at the beginning of the 19th century as a single-story building for the needs of an orphanage. The building was built according to a design of the Hungarian architects and . During the period between 1885 and 1887 an extra floor was added and became in use by the Royal Treasury and the Prosecutor's Office. In the immediate vicinity of the building, there was a prison called the Munkač Prison, which was demolished in 1922. At the suggestion of Doctor , the building was leased in 1929 to house the National Health Center.

The hip roof of the Neo-Baroque building contains many dormers, one of which jumps out from the rest by being beautifully decorated with a decorative vase, foliage, , and . Above the second floor windows, you can either see a curved, or a straight that becomes segmental in its midst. Underneath the last mentioned pediments, you can admire a that's adorned with a of a and is surrounded by ornamental twigs.
