National Museum Zrenjanin

The administrative building, which was built in 1893, was around the time of the most active construction periods in Veliki Bečkerek, nowadays Zrenjanin. It was built for the needs of the former Palace of Finances and the design came from the hand of the Hungarian architect .

In the fall of 1966, the National Museum of Zrenjanin moved into the building after moving out of Janković's palace which was demolished. The idea to establish a museum in Zrenjanin was initiated by the city's intelligentsia and representatives of the authorities of the former Torontál County in late 1902. The museum was finally opened to the public in 1911 when his collection was housed in four rooms of the County Palace.

During a strong storm that hit the city in August 2003, the windows and the roof of the building were significantly damaged. Extensive restoration work was carried out to restore the building and protect the museum objects.

Within the hip roof of the Neo-Renaissance building, you can see multiple small dormers, as well as three protruded parts that are crowned with . In front of the protruded parts, you can see a gable that's topped with a with underneath it a segmental that's adorned with a decorative shell. Between the that support the pediment above them, you can admire a beautifully decorated . The circular window underneath it is surrounded by four , two of which are holding up a lovely . A bit further down, you can see an ornament, which is adorned with and foliage and is surrounded by a fragment that contains . The gable is surrounded by fragments that contain the same as the elsewhere on the building.

Underneath the roof , you can see two strips of , one of which decorated with acanthus foliage. Above the second anf third floor windows, you can either see a pointed or a straight , some of which are supported by two . Underneath the pointed pediments you can see a fragment with heads of connected by festoons, while above some straight pediments you can see an ornament that's embellished with volutes and a . Underneath the cornice that separates the second and third floor you can see an motif, while underneath the cornice that separates the first and second floor you can see a strip of dentils. The that are placed on each first floor corners, is decorated with the technique of .

On the north side of the building, you can see four statues that symbolize agriculture, industry, crafts, and science. A round-shaped is placed underneath each of these statues, which are crowned by a Corinthian . The balcony underneath them, is supported by thirteen corbels and secured with a stone balustrade. The balustrade features an that states МУЗЕЈ (Museum). The that are placed in some places in the frieze, are adorned with six guttae. Some of the circle-top wrought iron-barred windows that can be see on the first floor, are surrounded by rosettes.
