Vilmos Grűnbaum House

The residential and commercial building was built in 1882 and the design came from the hand of the Hungarian architect . It was built for the Jewish merchant Vilmos Grűnbaum, who owned the first Hungarian warehouse in Torontál carpets and upholstery, which was founded in 1856 by his father Leopold Grűnbaum. The store of the company was located on the first floor of the building and sold suits, furniture, Banat folk costumes, and Torontál carpets. He was married to Regina Grünbaum on 11 May 1879, in , and together they had five children. His heirs adapted and modernized the building in 1905, and gave it an Art Nouveau interior and a redesigned first floor, by a project of the architect Istvan Barth.

On top of the northern facade of the Neo-Renaissance building, you can admire two strips of , one of which is adorned with foliage.
