Teodor Teodorov House

The residential building was built in 1910 and was designed by the Bulgarian architects and . It was built for the Bulgarian politician, legal expert and leader of the People's Party, Teodor Ivanov Teodorov. He was born on March 14, 1859, in . After attending school, he studied law at the universities of and . After graduating in 1886, he worked as a lawyer. He was Minister of Finance from 1897 to 1899 and from 1911 to 1913. He first came to prominence, through his support for reform, of the Bulgarian legal system, and took part in a Commission set up in 1911, that eventually produced the Administrative Justice Law that established a Supreme Court.

After the , he served as Prime Minister of Bulgaria. He was called to lead a ruling coalition following the resignation of on November 28, 1918, and strove to maintain order in the defeated country. Initially, he posed as an opponent of but was later forced to admit the leader of the Popular Agrarian Union into his government and then ceded the role of prime minister to Stamboliyski on October 6, 1919. Thereafter, Teodorov no longer held any office in Bulgarian politics.

The roof of the beautiful Art Nouveau building is decorated with a strip of . At certain parts, the cornice turns into a segmental shape, like on the lavishly decorated southwest corner. On this same corner, you can admire a with the initial T, which is surrounded by beautifully decorated floral ornaments. In the underneath it, there's an ornamental shell, which in its base starts with two , which is also surrounded by floral ornamentation. The door underneath it leads to a small balcony that is secured with a wrought iron railing. The two corbels that support the balcony are embellished with foliage and volutes.

All windows on the second floor are topped with a straight , which is supported by two corbels each. The fragments underneath the window, just as well as the cornices between the windows on the second floor, are adorned with floral ornaments. Both the entrance on the west and east side of the building are covered with an . Two more balconies can be admired on the east side of the building, both of them are secured with a wrought iron railing. On this same side, you'll be able to see a wrought iron fence that separates the premises from the street.
