Nafiz Ragib House

The residential building, which later turned into an educational building, was built in 1911 most likely according to a design of the Armenian architect . It was built by the Serbian national Nafiz Ragib, on a plot of land he inherited from his father. During the , the headquarters of the British Army was located in the building. The headquarters was headed by British General , who was involved in the Battles of Doirani that took place in 1917 and 1918.

Later on, it was bought by the Kalogiannis family, and sometime later, it was sold to Evdokia Koniordou. During the , it was confiscated by the German occupiers to use as a headquarters, but it eventually functions as a Romanian school. From 1949 until 1993, it housed the Korais Education School and in recent years the Koperti kindergarten.

The corner top of the Neo-Renaissance building, which is topped with a and embellished with a that's lavishly surrounded by foliage, is a real spectacle. The rectangular parts with cut-out corners, which are located at the same height as the spectacle, are all decorated with a . This also counts for the that are located on the second floor, as well as the Ionic that crown these same pilasters. Above the windows that are on that same floor, you'll be able to see a heart-shaped surrounded by even more acanthus leaves. The frieze that's located on the third floor is adorned with obliquely oriented and lush floral ornamentation, while the one that's located on the first floor, is adorned with palmettes, which are placed on top of a .

The stone blocks, some of which have been used as keystones, located on the first floor, as well as the basement, are decorated with the technique of . The wrought iron balcony railings, the barred windows of the basement, the railing of the stairs, as well as the beautiful gate, are all richly decorated with . Some of these balconies are supported by two simplified .
