Pazardzhik Old Post Office

The construction of the two-story building, which was built for administrative and commercial purposes, was started in 1907 and was completed in 1910. The construction, which was carried out by an entrepreneur from , was executed according to a design that came from the hand of the Bulgarian architect and after its completion, it became in use by the Pazardzhik Post Office. The construction began at the suggestion of the Directorate of Posts and Telegraphs on a plot of land owned by the Church of the Holy Virgin and at the expense of the church, which would later realize income from rents.

The building houses the postal services and their staff, which consists of 10 clerks, 7 servants, and a chief. From 1949 until 1972, the city court was also housed in the building, as the Courthouse was occupied by the City and District Committees of the Bulgarian Communist Party. and from the beginning of 1959 by the District Committee of the party. From December 15, 1972, until the spring of 1992, the building was used as the House of Bulgarian-Soviet Friendship. Unfortunately, in 1994, it burned down almost entirely, but within a year it was restored with the help of the entire community. After that, it was restituted and its owner again became the board of trustees at the Church of the Holy Virgin, and part of the premises is used by various companies for rent.

The most eye-catching feature of the building, which is built in the Tudor architectural style, is the multi-layered crowned with a . Various dormers, as well as several clocks, are placed within the spire, which gives the building an even more alluring appearance. The tower on which the spire rests is constructed by a timber-framing skeleton that gives the building a mid-European look. The upper part of the tower is partly supported by several , which also apply to the roof overhang. On the western and northern sides of the building, you can see several bay and , some of which are supported by even more corbels.
