Community Center Videlina

The cultural building was built in the period between 1897 and 1904 according to a project of the famous Bulgarian architect . It was built to house the Community Center Videlina, which was established in 1862, as one of the first established community centers in Southern Bulgaria. On the initiative of , in 1870, the beginning of the theater activity in the city was set. For many years, the librarian of the school and community center library was . By 1865, it already contained 618 books and other materials. On January 18, 1871, Zahariev handed over the library to the community board of trustees, publicly thanking him for the multiplication of the bookstore and for the preservation of the books.

In addition to being a cultural and educational community center, Videlina also carries out charitable activities. In 1876, after the , the activities of the community center were suspended for some time. Some of the community activists died in the uprising, others were sent to the prisons of exile. During the of 1878, the Main School was turned into a hospital, and most of the books from the community center's library were lost. During the period of the , the , as well as the , the community center activity temporarily stopped, as the building was converted into a hospital. After the coup of , 1944, the new leaders of the community center tried to preserve all the old traditions, as well as to create new ones. The theater hall, the largest in the city, continues to be the center of all cultural activities in Pazardzhik, and even in 1958, a puppet theater operated in the building.

The eaves of the roof of the building, which is built in the styles of Eclectic with Neo-Baroque and Art Nouveau elements, are supported by loads of wooden and embellished with and . The two top gables are either embellished with a pointed supported by two corbels, or a richly decorated featuring the rising sun. A straight pediment is placed above most of the second floor windows, which in some cases are flanked by adorned with a garland. The balcony that's placed on the western side of the building, which is secured with a stone balustrade decorated with garlands and two globes, is supported by two corbels embellished with floral ornamentation and a lion head . The cartouche that's placed underneath the balcony, which is surrounded by laurel branches, contains the Cyrillic letters Ч. В. (Читалище Виделина, Community Center Videlina). An is placed on the northeastern side of the building, supported by various columns.
