Staff Building

The original two-story building, which was built in the 1830s, was built for military purposes. It held this function until 1892 when it was purchased by the Roman Catholic Church Municipality. The building was adapted in 1894 according to a design that was created by the builder Karl Hefner to house the Grand Hotel Hungaria, which was renamed Grand Hotel after the . The hotel offered guests and residents of Pančevco a high level of not only catering services but also entertainment programs. They offered cabaret shows, dance classes, magician performances, a string orchestra played regularly in the restaurant, and films were shown on the summer stage.
The building before the adaptation
The three domes of the Neo-Renaissance building, which are all crowned with , contain multiple dormers adorned with a , an motif, and a . The that separates the roof from the rest of the building and the one placed between the first and second floors, as well as the that are placed above the second floor windows, are all embellished with . These pediments, which are either straight, pointed, or segmental in shape, are all supported by two . That also counts for the two balconies, which are secured with a stone balustrade that contains the same as the ones used in the . The first floor features many fragments, which are decorated with a rectangle with cut out corners, as well as a row of . Above the first floor windows, which are flanked by multiple , you can see many stone blocks that are decorated with with the exception of the keystone.
