Austro-Hungarian Bank

The two-story administrative and commercial building, which was built at the end of the 19th century, was built as a branch of the Austro-Hungarian Bank. The institution was founded in 1816 and changed its name in 1878 as a delayed consequence of the Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867. After the First World War, the liquidation of the Austro-Hungarian Bank took place essentially in two stages. The first stage took place in October 1918 and the second stage on September 2, 1919, but it continued to function. The final liquidation took place between September 1919 and May 1922. The bank was principally succeeded by the Oesterreichische Nationalbank in , the Hungarian National Bank in , the National Bank of Czechoslovakia in , and the National Bank of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes in .

The building, which is built in the Neo-Renaissance style with some Art Nouveau elements, features a total of three . They are beautifully decorated with a , which is surrounded by two eagles and contains a adorned with a female figure. The tympanums and the surrounded roof are both embellished with . The parts of the frieze that are located underneath the tympanums feature four adorned with garlands and .
