Villa Friedrich Schuller

The imposing one-story building, which was solely built with a residential function, was constructed in the period that lasted from 1896 until 1897. The construction was commissioned by the pharmacist Friedrich Schuller, who bought the land from the merchant Johann Georg Barbenius. Friedrich was born in 1845 and passed away in 1901. In 1939, the Telephone Palace, owned by the Romanian Telephone Company, was built in the garden in front of the villa. In 1962, the villa was demolished by the communist ruler, who came to power after the , to expand the Telephone Palace. The Telephone Palace was bought by a hotel gain in 2015 from the Telekom Romania operator to convert the building into a hotel.

The building, built in the Eclectic style, contained a total of three , one of which even contained a lantern tower. All of the turrets were crowned with a , which was also the case for the largest dome and the top gable.
