Zrenjanin is a city and the administrative center of the Central Banat District in the autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia. Zrenjanin is the largest city in the Serbian part of the Banat geographical region, and the third largest city in Vojvodina, after Novi Sad and Subotica. The city was named after Žarko Zrenjanin in 1946 in honour and remembrance of his name.

Zrenjanin has many places of interest like City Hall, which can be found on the Slobode Square. The city also houses many churches, including the Romanesque Cathedral of Saint John of Nepomuk. The Zrenjanin Synagogue, which was built in 1896 in the Moorish Revival style, was demolished in 1941 by the Nazis.
