Pirdop
Pirdop is a town located in southwest Bulgaria in Pirdop Municipality of Sofia Province in the southeastern part of the Zlatitsa - Pirdop Valley. In the area of Pirdop, traces of habitation during the Neolithic and Thracian eras, as well as remains of a significant late antique and early medieval settlement.
The town houses some attractions including the Museum of History and the Nikola Pushkarov House Museum. The town is also the home of the Bulgarian orthodox church of the Holy Assumption and just outside of the town, you can find the Elenska Basilica, a large partially preserved late Roman, early Byzantine, Christian basilica.
